How to upload photos
This page is aimed at helping people upload their own photographs to the club gallery.
Before you'll be able to upload or edit you'll need to get the password. Either contact Richard or look in the FILES section of the Google Group.
After that you're ready to start.
Firstly if you have a high resolution digital camera you'll want to consider shrinking your photographs to make them smaller and therefore faster to upload. Using whatever graphics program you're happy with the ideal size is 1024 x 768 pixels for an image.
If you don't have a graphics program there's a nice plug-in for windows XP available free from microsoft. After getting and installing this program simply right clicking on the picture in windows folder view there'll by a "resize picture" menu item, select that, select the desired size and in "advanced" tick the box to not create copies.
This works for windows based computers. If you have a Mac instead....consider buying a proper computer !
After resizing your pictures or if you decide to try it without resizing them then continue onto the next section.
How to create a new album
The next series of steps describes how to create a new album and upload photos to the gallery. Screen shots are supplied for anyone unsure where the options are, click on the picture for a larger image.
1) In the top right of the gallery screen click on "login"
2) This should take you to the login screen. Enter the username and password and click on "login"
3) You should now be taken to the main screen but logged on. You now need to look on the left hand side of the screen to see the "Add Album" option. Click it.
